LaBella Strings | |||||||||
I have been an exclusive LaBella Strings endorsee since 1989. I was a young girl who had just moved to Los Angeles and someone was kind enough to take me to my first NAMM Show. WOW. The show that year helped my career tremendously. I was at a booth playing a bass and soon enough a crowd gathered. Out of the crowd step's a man who I now lovingly call Uncle Bob. Bob Archigian is the director of sales for LaBella/E&O Mari. He whispered to me through the crowd "Here's my card., come see us at our booth across the way." I signed an exclusive contract that day and this company has saved my ass a million times. Not only are they extremely professional to deal with (always send strings on time), they are very supportive and helpful (they make a custom medium scale extra lite 5-string set especially for me!). A bassist would want want to use LaBella's "Hard Rockin' Steel" or "Slappers" string sets. I love them both. "Slappers" will give you a brighter, tighter edge if needed for your tone, and for a classic tone I highly recommend "Hard Rockin' Steel strings. With either set I use the following sizes: 45 60 80 105 128 | |||||||||
